Jesus’ Case Against Worry

Leaders,

Until we can safely meet again face to face in our homes, we wanted to provide some “optional” resources for those leaders who feel meeting as a group online is not that easy and not nearly as rewarding as meeting in person! While we don’t have simple “one size fits all” solutions that will work for any and all small groups, we do think adjustments may need to be made to both what you do as a group, and how you do it.

For example, shortening the length of time you meet, being more structured about sharing, using a liturgy to guide the scripture reading or study, building in times of silence for reflection (which allows the Holy Spirit to speak to people), even breaking down your group into smaller groupings of three or four. Maybe you have already made adjustments to your online group meeting that seem to be working well. If so, please share them with us so we can pass along good ideas to other leaders! At the end of the day, the goal is that during this season of sheltering at home, we remain rooted in Jesus and His Word, and involved in each other’s lives, supporting and praying for one another.

Below is a simple bible study discussion on the subject of worry that you can use as is or adapt it to the needs of your group.
