August Service Opportunities

Hello Small Group Leaders! Here are a few service opportunities for the month of August! Bless you all!

1. “Spruce up Sullivant”, on Saturday Sept 7th, is a great opportunity for your small group to serve our community alongside Keep Columbus Beautiful (KCB). KCB was our City of Columbus partner when our church painted businesses on Parsons Ave for our 25th Anniversary last year. Please see the flyer for more information. Spruce Up Sullivant Flier

2. Your group could sponsor kids to go to the Fusion Middle School Summer Camp! There is approximately $630 left to raise in scholarship money ($270 for East Campus, $350 for Main Campus ) to enable kids enduring financial hardship to go to camp and encounter Jesus. Positioning children to experience Jesus at this maleable time in their lives couldn’t be more critical. Your money couldn’t go to a better cause! If your group would like to serve in this way, contact Greg Dolce at greg.dolce@vineyardcolumbus.org.

3. Serving at one of the Vineyard Columbus Food Pantries would be a great way to serve at your small group. You and your group can serve at either the Fruit of the Vine Food Pantry (452 English Way) or the Northside Food Pantry (4664 Cleveland Avenue). To set up a time to serve with your small group, contact Rhodie at 614.259.5441 or rhodie.shreve@vineyardcolumbus.org.

4. Rebecca’s Place Women’s Shelter is gearing up for the fall and needs small groups to serve. You and your small group can share the love the Jesus by preparing hot meals for the women at this shelter, located on the eastside near the Bexley area. For more info, contact Jenney Rice at jenney.rice@vineyardcolumbus.org.
