Small group leadership is not for the faint of heart – preparing teachings, building community, pastoring, discipling, confronting. To lead requires energy, passion, emotion, intentionality, etc. At the end of the day we gain the wonderfully satisfying reward of witnessing the fruit of God’s presence and transformation in the lives of our fellow brothers and sisters. Like Paul, when writing to the Thessalonians “…you are our glory and joy,” we too experience excitement and joy at seeing the fruit(s) of the Gospel in the lives of those in our groups. Let’s not neglect the fruit of reproduction, for there is also great joy in raising up new leaders. As you consider this next season of small group life, look for men and women of good character, willing to serve and eager to see God use their gifts in the life of your small group. When ready, prayerfully invite them to our next New Leaders’ Training which will begin April 29th (Sunday afternoons). Please contact Daniel Nathan email@example.com for more info.
